Metalware sustains a variety of damage over its lifetime.

Most metals corrode on contact with water, acids, salts, oils, aggressive metal polishes, or other chemicals.

The type of corrosion on your piece depends on the metal it is composed of. You may also see breakage, dents and scratches from accidents or mishandling, or bent, loosening, or broken joints or hinges.

All Before & After images are repairs, restoration, & conservation completed by wiebold Studio
